Connecting technology, transforming economies.

Central Technology Belt's role is to enable economic regeneration around Birmingham and Worcestershire and we sit at the interface between the public and private sector. Technology led economic regeneration is about getting new and existing businesses to make use of innovative technology to increase competitiveness and create new jobs.

We do this by concentrating efforts in four key areas:

• Developing and exploiting the region's strengths in advanced materials, medical and healthcare, transport, digital and environmental. This will attract additional research teams from which new ideas will flow- these ideas can then be deployed into business.
